| Bangalore, 21st January, 2012: Wipro, represented by Nanda Kishore and Sriram Viswanathan quelled challenge from more than 50 other teams to emerge victorious on day 2 of the Bangalore qualifying round of Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge - India. Team NVIDIA Graphics represented by H B Raju and Vishal Dhupar emerged second on the day to fill the last spot in the national qualifiers for the Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge. An avid golfer with a handicap of 9, Nanda Kishore scored 37 points and his team-mate Sriram Viswanathan returned with an identical score, playing off a handicap of 14. Team Wipro ended with a combined score of 74 points, much higher than the yesterday's top tally of 67 scored by Hari Achanta and Sandeep Kulahalli of team Titan. H B Raju of team NVIDIA Graphics scored 39 points and Vishal Dhupar scored 28 points, playing off a handicap of 13, to take the tally of NVIDIA graphics to 67 points. The top two teams from today will join Hari Achanta and Sandeep Kulahalli from team Titan and S. Nagaraj and Dr. Hrishikesh of Team Atrimed Pharma, the top two teams from yesterday, in the national qualifiers to be held on 10th and 11th of April 2012 at Bangkok's Lebua Hotels and Resorts. The winning team from the national finals will get a chance to represent India at the World Finals of the prestigious World Corporate Golf Challenge to be held at the much celebrated Cape Garden Route, South Africa. The best individual gross score for the day was won by H B Raju who scored 34 points, playing off a 7 handicap. K Kumaran scored 37 points, to claim best net individual prize. Suresh Penmetsa shot the ball 247 yards away to pocket the longest drive challenge, while Anees Ahmed won the closest to the pin award with a shot to 13.2 feet on the 175 yard 5th hole. Second day of the southern regional qualifiers for the Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge saw the cream of Bangalore's corporate world bond over great golf at Eagleton Golf Resort. There was great competition on the course as over a hundred golfers from top companies including TAKE Solutions, Indian Terrain, Shriram Properties, Shriram Ventures, Ballantine's, Emirates, Tourism Thailand, IBM, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, Cisco, Credit Suisse, Capgemini Consulting; Bangalore's own Infosys, Wipro, Kingfisher Airlines vied for a spot in the national qualifiers. Team India has maintained a great record in the World Corporate Golf Challenge since their debut appearance in 1999. Team Close Up, HUL from Mumbai, which represented India last year, displayed excellent golfing skills to finish 2nd at the World Finals. In 2010, the Indian Team was tied 1st at the World Finals, but lost out on the title on count back. In 2008, the Indian Team from Credit Suisse became the first and only Indian team to emerge victorious at the World Finals held at the famed La Manga Club in Spain. With Team Wipro and Team NVIDIA Graphics securing the last two spots in the regional qualifiers, the stage is set for national qualifiers of the Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Championships to be held at Bangkok's Lebua Hotels and Resorts on April 10th and 11th 2012.
